Hi! I’m Ashlin and I’m cRaZy for Kate Middleton’s style and I hope you are as well. That’s why I’ve developed www.getwhatkatewore.com to not only help you track down Kate’s outfits, but to help you use Kate’s style to build your own!
I’m 27 years old and have been following Kate Middleton and her fashion picks since 2007. 2007 was my first year of law school…a period of time in my life when time was money and books and libraries dominated my life. Following Kate’s fashion picks here and there acted as a much needed break from the demands of academic life. It is only now that I’ve decided to combine my first 3 three loves—writing, fashion, and Kate Middleton—together into something more permanent and official. I’ve learned a lot about my own sense of style from following Kate over the past several years and I hope this website can help you do the same! |

Kate’s style has been the focus of world-wide attention since she stepped out in a sapphire coloured Issa London wrap dress to announce her engagement to Prince William. We love Kate not only because her fashion picks are so beautiful and elegant, but because she uses fashion as a vehicle to express herself….her personality….and her ideals. When Kate recycles a dress, a jacket, or a pair of shoes (which she frequently does), she’s telling the world that she’s just a normal girl raised by a normal middle-class family who buys clothes to use them, not to showcase them. Recycling clothing and buying affordable clothes is also Kate’s way of helping us relate to her and showing us that we too can create our own sense of style to express who we are.
Because I’m crazy for Kate, I’m crazy for everything she wears: clothes, jewelry, shoes, purses, and even nail polish! I’ll do my best to help you get your hands on what Kate wears as well as affordable alternatives to her fashion picks. Importantly, I’m also about showcasing a number of designs that are inspired by Kate Middleton’s classic style as well as those that are inspired by Kate’s own style icons such as Grace Kelly, Wallis Simpson, and Bette Davis. On occasion, I’ll be showing you how Kate helped me develop my own sense of style…and how she showed me how to express myself and my personality with clothing and accessories.
